Writer's Journey - Little Apocalypse, My new free Novella

Writers try different things to help a series get noticed—especially when they love the story they’ve written. I hadn’t meant to write three companion novellas to Bigfoot Is Not Your Friend. Then again, Apocalypse’s Knot companion tale is a novel in three parts that leads into how four World War II-era tanks enter stage right.

That I couldn’t stop writing their story, well, that happens sometimes. Bigfoot Hunting, Book 2 of the series will be released on August 31 and I’m going through the final round of polishing it based on the edits.

As I read through the novel one more time, I’m seeing how the three novellas link the stories—and can see how they will lead into the series third novel. Now, as I’ve written in the past, I’m not a plotter, someone who outlines stories. I’m a pantser. I discover my stories, though, I often have a good idea where the stories end.

These three novellas leave me with a sense of wonder—like how did I just write them? Little Apocalypse took about 2 weeks to write and its sequel another 2 weeks. That was about seventy thousand words in four or five weeks. That doesn’t happen to me often. And those stories are free. Just check out the promos they appear in this month and will in the near future upon the release of Apocalypse Nigh.

Then keep in mind Bigfoot Hunting, now available for pre-order… and you may find that Bigfoot Is Not Your Friend will be free on Kindle at the end of the month for just a few days. This is my way of launching the exciting next book in the Apocalypse Knot series.
