Daring to Believe in November

This month, I’m a guest at Chessiecon, which this year is a virtual con, over Thanksgiving Weekend. It’s held in Baltimore, so I guess, you could say it’s coordinated out of Baltimore this year.

The one real advantage to sharing I’m at a virtual con is that, in addition to being on several panels, I’ll be doing a reading and a Kaffeeklatch, an interactive session with a limit audience on Zoom. That would normally mean having a table for a limited group of people I can chat with on whatever they want to talk about… So, if you’d like to check out Chessiecon, feel free to come to my reading, scheduled for Friday night, November 27 at 8:30 p.m. EST (I’m scheduled for a 30 minute reading, but I may have the Zoom for an hour to either expand my reading and talk more with the audience. My Kaffeeklatch is scheduled for Saturday evening, November 28 at 8:30 p.m. EST.

I’m currently working on the first draft of the sequel to my recently released Knight of the Broken, which is tentatively titled, Changeling Knight. Knight of the Broken is sci fi, or perhaps better described as steampunk with a fantasy-like medieval setting, seemingly entering an early industrial age. It started a few years ago as a short story, which was published in an anthology. The characters and story kept tugging at my imagination.

Feeling the need to work on a few different projects, I’ve also published Lessers Not Losers, which I also expanded from one of my short stories published in an anthology. Lessers features kids with powers bred in captivity for their gifts in an our world setting, who are suddenly thrust into the world by those thinking they don’t have significant enough powers to matter and who fall prey to those… well, you’ll need to check it out to learn about this future superheroes on the run story.

To attract readers to both these new novels and my Plight series, I’ve written some tie-in prequel stories that are offered free in a variety of ebook formats.

The Dragon’s Curse (novella), which is a lead-in to my Highmage’s Plight series and Hands of the Highmage series, Grounding a Mockingbird, related to my novel, Lessers Not Losers. and my newly released novella, Last Knight, the prequel to Knight of the Broken Table, are available in a group promo, the November Sci-fi and Fantasy Giveaway.

Dare 2 Believe, For Whom the Bell Trolls , and Knight of the Broken Table are available in another promo, A Bit of Magic Fantasy & Sci Fi Tales on KU. and Knight of the Broken Table, Lessers Not Losers, Nowhere to Go But Mars are featured in Hang On For a Kindle Unlimited Blow-out! (Action, Mystery, Sci Fi, Fantasy, Trillers - November 4 - 30).

Lastly, I’ve a new author twitter account at @DHAire15, I hope you’ll following me there.
