Writing Progress adding a Spring in my Step

I have just completed Knight Sky…

I am also incredibly happy to have finished writing the novel, completing the fourth book in my Knights Tower Series.

That I’ve done so while also writing two new short stories for anthology calls, which I've submitted them to, is also no small feat.

I’ve previously mentioned writing my entry for the the Superstars scholarship anthology. I wrote the first draft at the airport on the way home from the conference and fleshed it out, creating a wonderful tale that should make the editor do a double take. (I really think it's that good.)

Then I saw another anthology call—and, well, even though I was focusing on finishing Knight Sky—the theme of the anthology laid down a challenge I couldn’t pass up. That story was pure joy to write—and I found myself at another airport with hours of delays… No, I don’t know why I find it easier to write at airports awaiting flights (but it certainly gives me time to focus on writing).

Finishing Knights Sky means preparing the manuscript for its editor—and this is going to an editor I’ve not worked with before. So, I’ve prepared a summary of what’s come before to help the editor understand key points of what’s happened in the series.

The nice thing about Knights Sky is it bridges to the next books in the series and offers a story of the knights of Lasdrah that Sir Harry himself wasn’t aware of—but parts of which have been hinted at.

In other words, the secrets of the mysteries of Harry’s world become clearer—making this closer and closer to an epic fantasy, except the series is sci-fi. (Which is one of the things I love about it.)

Now, looking for free stories?
