Writer's Journey - Looking forward to Panels at Balticon

I’ve a reading coming up at Balticon over Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 - 30, 2022. Plus I’m on one panel, and moderating three more. And, as I’ve previously shared, I’ve a table in the Dealer’s Room.

This year, Balticon is a hybrid con, offering virtual sessions as well as in person ones. What I’m stoked about is that the hotel block is sold-out, so there will be plenty of people in person this year. Last year’s con was the second all-virtually Balticon due to the Pandemic.

I’m currently scheduled for the following panels: Dr. Who and the Return of Russel T. Davies, Through the Portal, Hey, You Got Horror in My Dystopia, and Genre in the Age of Streaming. I’m moderating the latter three. The con starts off with my reading on Friday, May 27 at 4 p.m.

I’m considering what I’ll read. I’m considering reading from my novel Knight of the Broken Table, Bigfoot is Not Your Friend, or perhaps the short story I recently sold to an anthology, which is scheduled for release later this summer. I’m happy to accept advice. I’ve about twenty minutes or so for the reading itself, since I’d like to take questions for a few minutes, too.

That said, for those looking for free stories, my novella, Dragon’s Curse, a prequel to the Highmage’s Plight and Hands of the Highmage Series, is featured in Cosmic Destiny: Fantasy & Science Fiction Featuring BIG Characters and Cool Things.

My novella, Last Knight, prequel to Knight of the Broken Table, is featured in Worlds of Wonder.

Highmage’s Plight, book one of the seven book series, is featured in the sale promo Stranger in a Strange Land. If you participate in Kindle Unlimited, you can pick up the entire series for free.

Dare to Believe,

D.H.
