Last Knight is My Free Story for the Month of September…

I am currently about halfway through the editing work on Knight’s Sky, Knights Tower Book 4. I have a new editor and she’s really great, and very thorough. That’s making this process slower than normal.

Knight’s Sky offers a backstory to the entire series that compliments Last Knight. Knight’s Sky is the story of Sir Gregor and can be read without having read any other books in the series. But for those who do, it adds depth and helps answer a major question about the roots of what nearly ended the knights of the Broken Table in Lasdrah.

My goal is now to launch Knight’s Sky in 2027, later than planned. Then again, 2026 has been a bit of a roller coast year for me. My mother passed away this spring, which has, well, made everything in life more challenging.

I’ve been rewriting and reworking the latest novel in my Apocalypse Knot Series, sold written and sold two short stories, and been working on a passion project, a children’s book.

That children’s story has been waiting on illustrations, gone through another editorial pass, and I now have the first of five illustrations. I won’t be publishing that under my sci fi/fantasy author pen name as it is for a completely different market.

I’m hoping to also launch that in 2027 through a Kickstarter. I’ve found an illustrator and each illustration is taking time. However, this is progress.

I am also a guest at Capclave in October, where I’ll be doing a signing and on a number of panels. So, if your in Washington D.C. that weekend, this is your chance to see me.

As to my free story this month…. My novella, Last Knight, is set in the world of my Knights Tower Series, Knight of the Broken Table, Changeling Knight, and Knight’s Blood. Last Knight is featured this month in the promo, Science Fiction Reads, where you can find a lot more free stories!
