Highmage’s Plight begins the tale of archeologist George Bradley, who in about two thousand years uncovers an elvin ruin in Europe. There he finds something odd. Two stones, foreign to the periodic table, that, according to his computer staff formed the base of an arch to nowhere.

That portal flares and George finds himself on a world where magic defeated science. A world where humans can't do magic, because according to those of elvin descendent, human don't have soul.

This is a world of ogres, goblins, and trolls, witches and changelings. A world where a boy watches from a mountain and sees the impossible. Where another boy stricken with a mysterious disease, heir to a House, has been turned away by the elvin healers who can do nothing to prevent his death. A world where the Lord of Demons will do anything to find the person the last Highmage has summoned to save the Empire and their world.

Now if everyone just understood that George can't do magic, it just looks like it things might be easier. Then again, his computer staff has now come alive is rather sarcastic.

In other news, I'm working on the changes from my editor in the latest book in my Knights Tower series, Knight's Sky. This is the story of Sir Gregor, who is on a mission to avenge the Order of the Broken Table, after a battle with Belzbubs that has left only a hastily raised squire as the last knight of the Order. Lasdrah, the poor kingdom on the western edge of the continent that borders the Forbidden, is more important than any know. The Knights Tower stands alone. A ghost walks its halls teaching what he can to the Order he created as the world is threatened by gods who care little for humanity, and those who do.

But there is more to the Knights of the Broken Table and more to the world. This story brings an incredible backstory to the first three novels of the series and kicks off what comes next.
