Ever Wonder Where They Learned it From...

I love the line from Harry Potter, “Ever wonder where they learned if from…” Of course, Hagrid was referring to magic, but in life, I believe, there are other forms of magic… and I so love writing about magic, knowing that there’s magic in storytelling.

About ten years ago, I decided it was time to learn about the magic it took to get published in the genre I loved to write and what I needed to know about the publishing business. And, writing is a business. Authors have a great deal to do in order to not only succeed, to make the magic bloom, but not make serious mistakes.

Less than a year later, the novel I’d hoped and dreamed to get published had a legitimate publisher and I had a contract I understood before signing. Not all publishing contracts, I learned, have terms that an author should blithely sign, either. I learned that and so much more at the Superstars Writing Seminars, founded by best-selling authors Kevin J. Anderson, Dave Farland, Eric Flint, Rebecca Moesta, James A. Owen, and Brandon Sanderson.

If you are seeking to become a professional writer, check out the Superstars Writing Seminars, which will be offering a pre-seminar writer’s craft day. Instructors for 2022 will include: Jim Butcher (author of the Dresden Files), Dave Chesson (Kindlepreneur), Dave Courtney (CEO and Founder of Bookfunnel), Lucienne Diver (literary agent with The Knight Agency), Hugh Howey, Jonathan Maberry, Mark Leslie Lefebvre, Jody Lynne Nye, and many more.

One thing more, if you decide you want to register, use the following code to get $100 off the registration: D.H Aire2496.
