Lesser's Not Losers - Free On Kindle Today!
What if there Really are people with Paranormal abilities… and they are being bred for those gifts?
Bred in Captivity grew out of a series of short stories I began writing going on thirty years ago. The first story based on this won a contest about 15 or 16 years ago. I hadn’t submitted a story for years—and that showed me my stories were a bit more than stories only I was ever going to enjoy alone.
Lessers Not Losers is the first book in this series set in what appears to be our world. It’s part urban fantasy/paranormal, part contemporary sci fi. Oh, and it’s Young Adult with teen protoganists who if they are lucky—or perhaps unlucky enough to have useful gifts—survive.
Those with lesser gifts eventually are never heard from again by the many “gifted children” who are raised in the asylums they find themselves.
But what if those bred in captivity have gifts they successful hide but when they work together can become their captor’s worst nightmare? Because some of those kids intend to make it out alive and escape their fate—and fate seems to have plans for them. And, welll, what do they say about best laid plans?
Welcome to Bred in Captivity.
