Of Deeds and Steeds…

a prequel to my Highmage’s Plight Series, is featured this month in the promo, September Fantasy & Sci-Fi Freebies, where you can find a lot more free stories.

This is the tale of the fall of the Northlands, where betrayal threatens the elvin human Empire’s Legions helping to protect the Kingdom of Gwire from invasion by the Demonlord’s goblin army. But betrayal perhaps breeds betrayal and heroes may come from unusual circumstances… and the stuff of legends may offer hope when all seems lost.

In other news, I’ll be at Capclave, October 19-21, in Rockville, Maryland, where I will be on panels and networking. The guests of honor are Joe Haldeman, Gay Haldeman, and Naomi Kritzer. I'm scheduled to be on "Writing Different Lengths," "Ask Me Anyhing - Authors," "A Wizards Place," and "Problems in Series." There is an author book signing session before Capclave's annual book and story awards, too. If you are in the area, I'm really looking forward to seeing you—and, of course, being one of the guests this year at the con.
