Dare 2 Believe Free on Kindle for Limited Time

and set-up this opportunity for you to get my contemporary epic fantasy, Dare 2 Believe free on Kindle. I’m trying to celebrate by sharing my love of stories (having re-read a number of my favorite books to keep sane these past few months).

It was during another difficult time in my life when I wrote first drafts of the five books in Dare 2 Believe (of which I’ve only published three to date). I actually wrote 350,000 words in about three months in that initial writing.

Dare uses my Highmage’s Plight and Hands of the Highmage Series as background. So, I warn you, there are spoilers here. I’d been writing the Plight for over twenty years at that point, and began publishing that series before introducing Dare 2 Believe.

The, uh, unusual part of Dare is that it is contemporary fantasy, where an author of an epic fantasy series is invited to consult at an new and exclusive rather mysterious theme park. Said author upon arriving realizes the park is themed to his stories—and something’s very wrong. Everyone’s calling him by his main character’s name. Worse, a group of his fans—playing his main characters on his quest, well, become them and not as cosplayers. They go where he goes, knowing he may be their only hope… The other guests begin turning into elves, dwarves, trolls, and ogres as the laws of science become a bit skewed.

The author finds himself the wizard who has to try to save as the world--as the world as we know if comes to an end… Dare 2 Believe is a fun often itiric adventure. The fun I had in writing it at another difficult time in my life, makes offering it free on Kindle for a limited time seem perfect. .
